Section 77
Prohibition Of Absconding To Avoid Service Of Summons, Process, Notice Or Order
rder: (1) No person, being legally bound to receive a
summons, process, notice, arrest warrant or order issued by the
competent authority, shall abscond, with mala fide intention to avoid
being served with such summons, process, notice, arrest warrant or
order.
(2) A person who commits the offence referred to in subsection
(1) shall be liable to a sentence of imprisonment for a term
not exceeding three months or a fine not exceeding five thousand
rupees or both the sentences.
